Google Trends Smackdown: Led Zeppelin vs. The Doors


It's time for a new installment of the Google Trends Smackdown: Led Zeppelin vs. The Doors.





















There are two interesting data points to be observed in this smackdown:

  • 1. The amount of news coverage favors The Doors, but Led Zeppelin gets the most searches. IS THIS EVIDENCE OF A ROCK AND ROLL CONSPIRACY?
  • 2. South and Central America predominately searches for The Doors, while North America favors Led Zeppelin. Use this information to help yourself plan vacations. Places where the competition is neck and neck are at the edge of chaos, avoid vacationing there. Places where The Doors are in the lead probably have governments that favor more control over the individual, and also peyote.


One big surprise was that the Vatican did not have an opinion either way:
