Pig to human bird flu vector has been photographically documented. Perhaps the parents should be preventing their child from licking a pig's snout rather than capturing the moment for posterity? Maybe they subscribe to the exposure theory of allergy prevention.
Update 4/29/2009: This LOL was originally made in April 2008. It is not so funny now in April 2009. I've noticed an uptick in traffic to this post and would like to emphasize that it is only a tired joke...
The first Google Trends link above shows that the rest of the world is more active than the US in terms of searching for these old shows. When we restrict the search region to only the United States, we see that major wester cities prefer MacGyver, but major eastern and southern cities prefer the A-Team. Well, at least those cities shown in the top 10. Don't write your graduate thesis on that last observation. But maybe we can tease out that the East Coast and the South are more about creative teamwork, and the Western States prize the rugged, inventive individual?
It's time for another Google Trends Smackdown. This time it's Alf vs. Small Wonder. The Alien Life Form from Melmac is hands down the winner in terms of Google Trends restricted to searches performed in the United States. However, V.I.C.I. from Small Wonder wins in terms of critical panning, which I guess is actually losing.
Sidenote: Alf appeared on the O'Reilly Factor in November 2007, cementing that shows reputation as a forum for demented conjecture, yet somehow also raising the level of discourse.
In popularity, according to Google Trends, Knight Rider wins hands down. In all the top 10 search regions, cities and languages, Knight Rider pulls ahead. The only place it is even close is South Africa. I guess they must have a lot Airwolf reruns there.
In real life(hehe) though, I would put my money on Airwolf because of two words: Air Superiority. Airwolf does not have to stick to the road, plus it probably had air-to-ground missiles. K.I.T.T. was impervious to attack below heavy artilery, but I consider air-to-ground missiles to be heavy fire. Would K.I.T.T. have even been able to detect the "wolf in sheep's clothing" that was Airwolf? Would it have said "Michael, my scanner's are detecting an armed helicopter that appears to be a civilian helicopter?"
